Why does the mix of AI sources matter more than a citation total?

In brief

The source mix describes the different evidence and accounts available about a brand: company facts, official records, reference data, reporting, customer experience, and discussion. Citation counts show one visible slice of that environment. ORM analysis examines which claims the wider mix supports and where contradictions or gaps can persist.

Map pages and records to claim support, origin, date, and entity. Include relevant uncited references as well as the links displayed in answers. A corporate page, a Wikipedia description, a public filing, and a Reddit discussion can contribute different information through retrieval, repeated public accounts, or historical knowledge. Several sites copying one report can spread a claim while adding little independent verification.

Concentration matters when a narrow account repeatedly defines an important subject, but the response should strengthen the underlying evidence rather than chase a domain total. Correct false facts, clarify current identity, improve relevant reference assets, and add credible missing context. Compare later answers and their sources with the same claim map. This shows whether the public account became more accurate and complete, including information that appears without a visible link.
