Why can the same AI platform give different answers to the same brand question?

In brief

The same AI product can combine learned information, search or retrieval results, tool data, and conversation context differently across requests. Product settings and changes in public sources can also affect the answer. The review should identify whether the difference concerns wording, a source, a factual claim, or the reason for a recommendation.

A useful test records the product, model where visible, search availability, prompt, date, and conversation context. Repeated fresh sessions can show whether a claim persists outside one exchange. When conditions change, the new observations should be labeled rather than silently compared with an earlier run as though the experiment were unchanged.

Distinguish style variation from changes in identity, capability, factual accuracy, recommendation, and source support. Assess intermittent serious errors by their substance, and sentiment changes by their consequences. Address recurring information gaps and identifiable generated errors. Report what varied, its observed frequency in the sample, and the facts or decisions affected, then use that evidence to guide content changes.
